Zhaga Launches Smart City Sensor Awards
The Zhaga Consortium is launching the global Zhaga Smart City Sensor Awards to address the needs of many cities that have installed Zhaga-D4i certified streetlights. The awards encourage and recognize excellence in smart city sensors that can be installed on streetlights using the Zhaga Book 18 standard and are suitable for Zhaga-D4i certification. Sensor manufacturers, innovators as well as universities and students are encouraged to submit their applications by 16 December 2022.

First Zhaga-NFC Programmable Devices Earn Certification
The Zhaga specification Book 24 defines the programming of NFC-programmable luminaire components. Zhaga has also developed a corresponding Zhaga-NFC certification program for programmable luminaire components such as LED drivers. Tridonic LED Drivers Receive Zhaga Book 24 Certification
There are currently many different programming methods used to configure the operating features of LED drivers in luminaires. With Book 24, the Zhaga Consortium has standardised a wireless, digital programming approach using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. Tridonic has developed LED drivers that are now the first devices to be certified by Zhaga in accordance with Book 24 (also known as Zhaga NFC programming). Using NFC to program lighting components makes on-site commissioning much easier.

The ioXt Alliance, the global standard for IoT security, announced today that a new round of Network Lighting Controllers (NLCs) have been certified through the ioXt Certification Program under its NLC Profile.
